OSU Premed Program

Hello.

I know OSU offers a 7 year medical program, but I couldn’t find the information on the main website. If someone who knows or is involved in this program, could you please post information or somewhere where i can get further information on how i can get into this program. Furthermore, I would like to know if it would be better to go the traditional route (8-years) or rather the 7. I’m also thinking of NEOUCOM, so on comparison to this program, which one is…better? Thanks. :)

OSU School of Medicine has an Early Admission Pathway (EAP) that offers conditional medical school admission to selected National Merit Finalists and National Hispanic Scholar Finalists entering as undergraduates. The EAP has a third year option that allows selected students to petition for entry to the medical school after their third undergraduate year. The web page is here: [EAP Third Year Option](http://medicine.osu.edu/futurestudents/admissions/eap/eapfourthyear/index.cfm)

I don’t know much about the program, but it is highly selective and doesn’t seem like as much of a sure thing as the NEOUCOM accelerated option. But OSU is the better medical school, without question.

Nothing against NEOUCOM though. I know plenty of successful physicians from that program as well as current students.

Thank you so much
