I recently was a finalist in an international essay contest and I was wondering if a. it’s a good idea to submit the essay I wrote as a supplement to MIT and b. what category it would be sent under (other, I’m assuming?).
Any advice will be appreciated!
I wouldn’t submit it anywhere but MIT (or any other college you decide to send it, or some variant of it to) until the admissions cycle is over, but perhaps that’s overly cautious advice. After March 31st, you can do what you like with your essays, but until then it’s best to keep them private and secure, only between you and the admissions committee, just as a matter of integrity and propriety.
