I was registering for Explore USC and it gave me the option to be hosted overnight with a current student. Prior to registering, I wasn't expecting the offer, and I have family that lives in SoCal so i don't need to stay overnight... but I thought it might be fun? Has anyone done it and can give a recommendation one way or the other?

What explore are you doing? I didn't get this option...

it was really nice when i did it back in Feb.
i think you havta bring sleeping bags, but you get a much more personal feel of dorm life.
my host invited us to some party that the dorm was hosting, and it was quite interesting.
there were also a gathering-typish thing happening in one of the student's rooms, and i got to hear first hand accounts abt the life @ USC.
so i would definitely recommend it. ^________^

I think i got the option because i'm from out of state and because i'm going alone

i did it and got a dud host. absically sat on his couch and watched tv as he studied for biology for 4 hours. LAME! but i would definitely do it anyways, as you are likely to get a better host than i who would be able to show you a look around the campus and give you a better feel for the school (Plus theyll show you all the dorms!) try it out man
