Hi, I just have a few questions regarding OHP and Cal Day. Can someone give me just a brief introduction of OHP and Cal Day.

I'm planning to April 20/21 for OHP and Cal Day is April 21 as well, so I'm not sure if I should just attend Cal Day instead, and save some money.

OHP is a chance to meet some incoming freshmen as part of OHP, spend an evening in a dorm and experience a bit of what life will be like at Cal, sit in some specific sessions, and get answers to questions oriented to incoming students.

Cal day is a huge event with alumni, local residents, current students, families, kids as well as prospective Bears. The two are very complementary, worthwhile if it is not a burden.

On the other hand, Cal Day does provide some of the same information - there are tours of dorm rooms for the public that day, but you are in a cluster with locals, kids and have limited chance to see what it would be like.

Since you spend time with current students, you have time to ask plenty of questions that might not be covered in standard sessions.

only the one/ones targeting specific students (low income, first generation and probably certain HS are part of the criteria. maybe also participation in things like bridges) Most OHP do not pay your airfare.
