"As you consider your college admissions decision, we invite you to save the date to experience student and campus life at UC Berkeley through the OVERNIGHT STAY PROGRAM (OSP), a 24-hour campus visit organized by the Alumni Scholars Association.

Participation in OSP is contingent on your acceptance to UC Berkeley. If accepted, you will receive an email from us during the first week of April with instructions on how to register.

During the Overnight Stay Program you can:

-Visit the UC Berkeley campus
-Eat at residence dining halls
-Attend class(es)
-Speak with Cal alumni, professors, and students
-Stay overnight with a Cal student in the dormitories

OSP also offers a concurrent program for parents of student participants tailored to parents interests.
Note: Accommodations are not included for parent participants.

In its 16th year, OSP is the largest such event at UC Berkeley attracting nearly 900 participants per year. As a student-run program, we offer participants a highly unique perspective on college life. "

This program is completely separate from the UC Berkeley admission selection process as well as the Alumni Scholarship selections process. You are receiving this email because we thought you might be interested in this opportunity.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with admissions. Their emphasis, not mine.

Although if I were admitted, I'd definitely want to attend this! Anybody else feel the same?

It can be confusing as there were two similar sounding programs - OHP and OSP. The latter is run by the Alumni association and open to any admited student. OHP is targeted, mainly Regents and others that were flagged for special treatment after acceptance.

^ Are you sure you applied? Maybe you submitted your application when the server was acting weird and it never went through (that's what happened to me and a couple other people). Did you get a confirmation email?

Crap, I don't believe so ..But I do recall submitting the application and I assumed it went through since it went to the next page after submission. And I didn't worry about it because I never got that e-mail that said they lost some apps. But if that's the case, then I guess I wasted that time for nothing :(

The OSP made a mistake and not only sent it to freshmen but also transfer applicants (which I fall into being), so...I'm sure everyone should have gotten who applied for the scholarship.

For those of your wondering, if you haven't recieved your Admission decision by next week and you get another e-mail from the OSP, then that means that you were accepted.
