Peabody College Acceptance Rate?

Hi!

I applied to Peabody as a Special Education/ Human Development major. I have read that Peabody has a higher acceptance rate than the other colleges, is this true?
I think my stats are pretty borderline, but will I have a better chance since i applied to Peabody?

Any thoughts? All insight would be appreciated!

  • this might be a hook, but I wrote my essay about how having a sister with special needs lead me to want to teach special education- may or may not help my application, but was a big part of my essays and interview.

Peabody does have a higher acceptance rate, though I feel it’s mostly due to self-selection; people applying to Peabody often have a very specific interest and passion, and their applications/resumes are more likely to be a match with the school.

For example, the acceptance rate in the College of Engineering is also higher than A&S, but the average test scores are higher in Engineering. The higher acceptance rate isn’t because it’s easier to get in, but because the Engineering applicants tend to be better suited for that school.

Seems there is very little data on stats for Peabody undergrad. Anyone know how many appllications they get, how many they accept, what the yield is?
