hey this is kinda weird... for the academic information, i can't fit grades i've participated on it. what should i do? i put down "10, 11" and can't fit the rest in.

cant u fit "10-12"?

oh crap i feel stupid

I can't fit 9,10,12...

=(

me neither.........should we just not use a comma between 11 and 12: that's the only alternative I see......

Man, I submitted Part 1A about 2 weeks ago, and still got nothing. I'm getting worried now. Do they wait until Part 1A +1B, or do they send you word after Part 1A?

can we submit part 1A by online and part 1B by paper? The directions are a bit confusing...
i.e. i sent the personal data online, but now i want to submit the part with all the essays on paper

they send you a card after part 1. i've already received one although i haven't submitted part 2 yet!

the essays come in part 2, if i'm not mistaken!

i called about the "grades participated in" field, and they said to put 9, 10, 11 as just "091011" and they will understand it.

i also guess 9-12 is a better method, and they will probably understand that too.

Since my thread hasn't received any replies, I'm just going to have to hope that using this thread will be more successful...

I'm listing the AP courses on part 2 of my application to Penn and am wondering which particular AP courses this listing should include in its five available spaces. Should I include only past AP courses for which I have received a score? Should I include past AP courses for which I have not received a score (taken this past summer)? Should I include current AP courses? Future AP courses? Any help is highly appreciated.

Also, if I do in fact need to include courses for which I have yet to receive a score, should I just leave the score section blank?

Lastly, does the date section refer to the month in which the AP test itself was taken, which would thus have to refer to May of any given year?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Talkie Walkie. since there are only 5 spaces, it seems that the decision is completely up to you. I would either choose to fill in the AP classes that seem more impressive, or the ones that you've gotten the best scores on, or a combination of the two.

For example, I would give priority to AP Calculus or AP European History, rather than something like AP Music Theory.

Really, it's completely up to you. Fill in the classes which you feel have the most importance.

Any one else want to weigh in? This is a good question.......

Has anyone else taken 2.5-3 weeks to receive confirmation of 1A?
I regrettably feel like I'm going to have to call them next week or something.

I also just posted a separate thread on this just now, because ... I was all set to submit Part 2 online, when I previewed the app, only to find that there is a contradiction in the online instructions and how it actually ends up printing out.

In the online app, the instructions are clear: On your list of current classes, do not include APs. APs should be included in the next section, they say. So fine, I do that. When it is printed out, the heading for each section dramatically changes. Now the current classes ask for APs, IBs, honors and regular classes all together, and the AP section is clearly marked for only the ones you have taken tests in already.

What gives?????????

oh man, I'm so close to being done with part 2. What should we do regarding these AP classes?

It's driving me nuts.........I just want to submit already.

To those of you who already submitted, what did you do?

I ended up putting all classes, including AP together, leaving the second section for just AP test scores. It's the only thing that makes sense. Application says Put AP courses and scores into next subsection. I think they meant, put AP test scores. See the other threads on this topic.

thanks collegecountdown. I'm hoping to finish this thing tonight, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

Good thing I have a half-day tomorrow.

What better way is there to spend Halloween than to be filling out Applications, right?

Yeah, pretty spooky.

If i want to schedule an interview and im applying for regular decision, wat's the deadline?

they contact u after u submit your app if you're selected for an interview

I think it depends on your area but people who submit by the deadline get interviews unless there just aren't enough alumni in the area. Then it depends.
