Ok so I've been reading a bunch of posts on cc about act scores lately, and they have scared me a lot. Lets get one thing straight getting above a 30 on the act is AMAZING, like less than 5% of the people who take the ACT do that well. No offers e but the people on this site are freaks of nature. Not everyone gets that great of scores! Dont get down on yourself if you can't get your scores to match most people's on this website.

What’s even more weird is that people are willing to retake a 34 composite, even though it is clearly 99th percentile. Anyways, the people who are willing to even look at this forum are the top students.

The thing with these kinds of websites (cc or for the UK, thestudentsroom) is that usually only academically strong people visit them. Average students do not care about improving and hence, you won’t see them here. And if they want to improve, visiting this website is the first step in the right direction.

I could not agree more. I would be thrilled with a 30 +.

A lot of people on this forum are shooting for the most selective schools, and they are also very motivated. At these schools even a 33 isn’t going to put you at the top of their score range.
