Hello, thank you for your time!
I just received an invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa from my community college, but I've already applied to transfer as well as applied for financial aid.

If I were to join Phi Theta Kappa now, would I still be eligible to receive the $5000 scholarship towards my transfer school of choice?

Is it even worth it to join if I don't plan on being at my community college in the fall?

Thanks for your help!

Once you join, you are a member for life. So pick up the phone, call the places you’ve applied to, tell them you’ve received the invitation, and ask what you need to do to be eligible for the PTK scholarships.

Yes the extra transfer scholarship is worth way more than the one-time due ($70).

However, my kids only getting $2000 extra per year. Also, not all schools offer the extra scholarship.

Thanks everyone! I will be calling the three schools I’ve applied to once I submit the due!

Once again, thanks so much!
