<p>Several people on facebook have recieved phone calls that they've been accepted. Seems like it's only certain majors though.</p>

<p>My son got a call yesterday (Sunday). OOS - English Major (an English Professor called him). I thought it was certainly a nice, personal touch. How many people can they possibly be calling?!?!</p>

<p>As per posts on facebook, the phone calls are random and don't necessarily depend on major. It looks like people from MA, CT, and NJ have recieved calls, but again it sounds very random....we can only hope.</p>
<p>This happened last year as well, and I think it's totally unfair to kids that are waitng to put them through this. My son didn't get one as well, and it added unnecesary anxiety. He did get accepted, and with a merit scholarship! So all of you who are still waiting, don't get discouraged. I meant to write a letter to the admissions office re: this last year. I think they should really rethink this policy! Everyone should be notified at the same time! I guess the policy now is to leave it up to the individual depts. to make calls or not, and it looks like it's not even consistant within a dept. who gets calls. TOTALLY UNFAIR!</p>

<p>UofDel admissions posted on facebook that letters will be going home w/in a week or so. It was also made clear that some departments make phone calls while others do not. In other words, don't worry about getting a call.</p>
<p>i got a call (message on answering machine) today from the foreign language department. i'm from ny. the call was also to ask if i had any questions about the department. i won't know about honors or merit scholarships until i get my letter.</p>
