pick-a-prof vs ratemyprofessor.com

What do you think is better/more popular between pick-a-prof and ratemyprof.com? I know that pick-a-prof is subscription and ratemyprof is free though.

I think it depends on the school. At my undergrad, the student government actually encouraged students to use pickaprof. And yes, while you must register, it's free.

When I transfer from my 2 year college, I'll probably see what Pick-a-Prof has to offer...BUT for now, it's ratemyprofs.

Pick my prof doesn't have many colleges in it though.. so I'd say ratemyprof.. check if the college you're going to is in pick my prof it might not be

when I tried to register for pickaprof.com , itsaid I had to pay.

pickaprof is widely used at my school

Myspace has a pretty good prof rater too.

Id say ratemyprof... pickaprof does not have a single review for any of my professors at my school and I cant figure out study buddy so I usually use ratemyprof.. however pickaprof is good to see who got what grades so I use it for that.

dcfca, where on myspace is the professor rater?

my school has its own course/prof review website, and most students use that. Thats probably the best source -- see if your own school has anything similar.

myspace had most of my teachers... and i rated some that were unrated! myspace ... keep information FREE!!

How do you get to it?

My school has the same system as garrr. Near the end of every quarter, people come to the classes and hand out detailed evaluation forms that are MUCH more comprehensive than most websites. For example:

<a href="http://www.cape.ucsd.edu/scripts/detailedStats.asp?SectionId=542561%5B/url%5D">http://www.cape.ucsd.edu/scripts/detailedStats.asp?SectionId=542561</a></p>

:)

i wouldnt trust on-line sites like that. Most likely the only people posting reviews there will be people who feel very strongly about the prof in one way or another (and usually that way is the negative way)

how to you get to rate my professors on myspace?

on the main page that comes up after you log in there should be a link that says "Grade My Professor! Try Now!" Right under where it says " View my : Profile | Blog"

Click on that and then find your school just like you do on ratemyprofessor.com

I have use myspace and ratemyprofessor.com and I find both very useful. I wouldn't pay for a teacher rating website unless for some reason I had to do so to get teacher ratings, but I currently use two free sites! Myspace doesn't have as many ratings as ratemyprofessor.com becuase its newer, but it's getting there.

Wow nice, and to think I was just about to delete my myspace.. thanks
