I spoke to an admission officer who told me that the VR goggles are “new” from Pitt and only “a few” accepted students get them but that she isn’t sure of a pattern. They might be designed by the university itself??

I received a letter admitting me to the Honors College and a separate letter inviting me to the Graduate School of Public Health. Should I know by now whether I’ve received merit aid? Would that have come with the Honors College letter?
@yunakk21 --it seems most scholarship letters come a few weeks to months after acceptance into Honors and graduate guarantee programs. Hang in there!
No, the scholarship committee reviews several applications per week for merit. You should get a letter by March if you are awarded a scholarship.
@yunakk21, As mommdc said, our scholarship committee makes decisions weekly from November to March 1 and letters are also sent out weekly. This review is separate from Honors/GAP review, so the timing for when you receive those letters won’t affect the timing for scholarship notification. It is very common for the Scholarship Committee to review an applicant more than once before making a decision, so don’t worry if you haven’t heard yet. Anyone who is selected for scholarships will hear back by March 1 at the latest.
Best of luck!

@hailtopitt1787 I just received a full tuition scholarship from Pitt today and I am over the moon excited about it!!! However, I was wondering if the Chancellor’s scholarship nomination would be included in the scholarship letter or comes separate. Also, is the committee still offering nominations? I know in previous years they have reached their limit of 600 nominees by early December. Thank you!
@panic2017, Congrats on your scholarship! Chancellor’s Nomination is included in the Scholarship letters.

I just found out a couple of hours ago I got in from the video in the email they sent me, but on my application portal it simply says “this application is complete”, does it take a while to update? Also, where/when do you find out about scholarships
Accepted in Swanson School of Engineering!
My stats:
GPA: W: 4.19
SAT (Old): 2120
SAT (New): 1410
Does anyone know my chance of getting a large scholarship?
@inspirational13 not sure- GPA is decently good and SAT is good, but too low for the “minimum” 1490 for Chancellor’s Scholarship. Also it seems that this year, Pitt is giving out less large scholarships than in previous years. Best of luck
Hi! I was accepted to the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences in late October, however, my application portal status still only says “complete”. Is this an issue that I should reach out to my regional admissions rep about it or does it not matter? Also, does anyone know if I still have a shot at some merit scholarships if I did not get into the honors college (I think my ACT was too low)? Thanks!
@Mom20132017, @eg2017, and @inspirational13, You won’t see any change in status on your application portal - the change in status will show if you log into psmobile.pitt.edu. The directions to log into PS Mobile should have been sent to you by the Technology Help Desk. In PS Mobile, you will see the option to accept or decline your admission.
Hope that helps clarify! If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our office: 412-624-7488 or oafa@pitt.edu.
