so im looking at the pitzer admissions requirements, and apparently they require THREE recommendations. one from a counselor, one from an academic teacher, and one from a visual/performing arts teacher. are they expecting all of these to be stellar? i mean, i can come up with the academic and the VPA, but my counselor just retired so i’m gonna get a new replacement next year… and even if i didn’t, our school is too big for any of the counselors to have any sort of relationship with their students. also, pitzer doesnt seem to have any sort of forms to fill out, are they just expecting a letter or something?

<p>What are your stats? It is relatively easy to get into Pitzer colleges compared to other name LACs, such as Pomona, ect. Don't worry unless your stats fall far below those of their averages, you cannot write, you have few EC's, and/or you don't seem like you would fit in on campus.</p>

<p>You might be able to get your old conselor to write the rec. Call Pitzer- they're quite personable. Explain the situation to them and see what they say. At many schools, conselors have have essentially no relationship with the students. Go public school!</p>
