Hey this might be a dumb question but if I were to take the Calc AB exam and get a 4 or 5 on it would I still have to take Pitt's placement test to pass out of intro calc? Thanks

I know for the College of Arts and sciences that a 4 or 5 would place you out of alegra and calclus. But, since the scores don’t come until July, you should still take the placement exam. Its so easy and you only need an 8 out of 15

I don’t remember there being a placement test to place out of intro calc. I think the only way is to have AP or college credit.

I think schrizto is correct…my daughter’s advisor told her that there was no need for her to take the placement test. Getting a 4 or 5 on the AP exam is all you need to do to get the credits for intro calc.
