Please let me know what you think. I'll chance back!

Since you attend a “specialized” school in NYC, I’m guessing you’re wealthy. Please correct me if that was a faulty assumption.

First of all, did either of your parents attend any of these schools? If so, you’re a legacy, and that will give you a considerable boost.

Unfortunately, your chances are very low at Yale. I still think you should apply; if you have stellar essays and get lucky, you could get accepted. But it’s highly unlikely because of your SAT IIs and lack of strong extracurriculars.

It gets better from there. You’ve got a decent shot at Brown, although it’s still not a great one. You have a good shot at Pomona, and a great shot at Vanderbilt.

Yale - High reach
Brown - Mid reach
Pomona - Low Reach
Vanderbilt - Low Reach
U Chicago - No idea (UChicago is unpredictable with admissions).

Hope this helped. Good luck with everything.

To be competitive at the Ivies, like Yale and Brown, I think you need to get your SAT IIs over 700, preferable 750+. It would help if you SATI was 2300+, too. Your ECs seem okay, but I don’t see a passion. Also, did you get any awards?

Your GPA is good for an elite high school, volunteering seems good.

Yale - high reach
Brown - reach
Pomona - low reach/match
Vanderbilt - low reach/match
U Chicago - reach

Also, do you have any hooks? Those would help. I think that if your essays are phenomenal, you could be surprised!

SAT looks good. However, I’m a little confused about your classes. If you only took 2 honors classes, does that mean that the rest (that weren’t APs) were regular? If that is the case, than it doesn’t look too good. However your ECs demonstrate leadership, always a good thing to have. I think you have a decent shot at most of those schools. Good luck.

Yale–Very High Reach
Brown–Mid-to High Reach
Pomona–???(srry not familiar)
UChicago–write a great essay and ur in
Vanderbilt–in(its not a safety but i’d be surprised if u didn’t get in.)

You should really retake the SAT 2’s and get those scores up to at least 700. Those scores could be “swing vote” at some of those schools that you applied.
