<p>I did make a post like this earlier. But a few things I missed out and a few things got updated and I also have a set of Uni's I will be applying to...Last time I will post this sort of thread. So, Please could you guys chance me. I really appreciate it...
I want to study Economics.
I am Indian, currently doing A levels (Year 13)
I am pretty shure I wont need Financial aid.
my choices atm are...Brown, Cornell, Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, Boston, New York Uni and Emory.

<p>SAT scores:Well mine haven't been great at all...But working really hard to bring them up for the second try.
(1st try): Math = 730 Critical Reading = 550 Writing = 520 SAT = 1800</p>

<p>My first subject test results : (1st try) = 660 (Physics) 620 (Maths Level 1) </p>

<p>Will be doing the SAT subject tests for a second time as well...</p>

<p>School Board: My school does the Cambridge Board (AS and A levels) I am currently doing my final year A levels.</p>

<p>IGCSE Grades...
Economics = A*
Business Studies = A*
Chemistry = A*
Biology = A*
Physics = A
Maths = A
English Language = A
English Literature = A
Information Technology = A
French = B</p>

<p>Teachers Recommendation: Just attended a parent/teacher meet and ya..I got good reviews from all my teachers. So I suspect that my rec's will be good as well...</p>

<p>Essays: I think they are pretty good.... </p>

<p>My EC's & achievements are...
-Public Speaking</p>

<p>-Volleyball team (captained the team in the interschool tournaments against other schools)</p>

<p>-Football team (played in the interschool tournaments)</p>

<p>-Basketball team (played in the interschool tournaments)</p>

<p>-Badminton Team (played in the interschool doubles tournament, won awards as me and my partner came 3rd)</p>

<p>-Was in the Swimming Team (played in the interschool tournaments)</p>

<p>-Athletics team (played in the interschool tournaments and won 1st in 100 meters, 2nd in 800 meters, 2nd in Relays)</p>

<p>-Participated in Reach Out To Asia organization to help the poor people in Asia. Travelled to Indonesia to help build a school.
Help to deliver food to poorer people in Doha.
Participated in The Wheels and Heels run for charity and raised a significant contribution to help my school raise the highest amount between all the other schools.</p>

<p>-Travelled to Kenya and to Nepal with the school for camping, trekking, rock climbing and white water rafting (I dont know if I can actually put this in as an EC, but I just included it here...)</p>

<p>-Participated on behalf of the school in Mental Mathematics and Chess competitions.</p>

<p>-Acted in three major productions in school in 3 consecutive years.</p>

<p>-Won the best speaker in a debating tournament between other schools. Also won the Best Debating team (2009)</p>

<p>-Achieved the Global Citizens award (2009)</p>

<p>-Won Student Of the Year in 2007</p>

<p>-Won HSBC Economics Award (2007, 2009)</p>

<p>-Won Drama Award (2007,2008)</p>

<p>My position of responsibilities are...</p>

<p>-Been Prefect for the school for 3 years.</p>

<p>-Current Head Boy of the School (2009-2010)</p>

<p>Do I stand a chance in any of these Universities I am trying for. Please give your opinions. I will take all into consideration. Thanks. :)</p>

<p>Brown - 15%
Cornell - 45%
Stanford - 5%
Duke - 15%
Northwestern - 15%
Boston - 80%
New York Uni - 50% [need that 1900+)
Emory. - 30%</p>

<p>I would say brown is higher than 15. Cornell should be about fifty fifty. And definitely higher than fifteen at northwestern. Duke is probably about thirty and nyu and emory about fifty. Good luck!</p>
