Please Chance me!!! I need some Help!! (Will chance you back)

I am a rising senior. I am interested in attending Emory or Vanderbilt or Boston University. Here are my stats
SAT: 2210 (plan to retake)
ACT: I will retake
I plan to take SAT subject tests Math 2, Biology (M), Chemistry, and Physics
GPA: (UW) 3.38 (I know its low but I plan to raise it up) This is not my final gpa due to the fact that I am taking classes at my local college that will increase it.
4.17 (W)
ECs include
Being a member of the county's public health committee and health IT committee
Pharmacy technician at the city's main hospital
Conducting research currently in developing a drug model for neuro diseases and also doing research in the area of liver cancer. I plan to compete in the Siemens competition and publish research with organizations such as the American physiological society and others. (Possibly trying to collaborate with researchers from universities and large hospitals).
I got 1st place in the national Latin convention in the area for greek literature and derivatives and at the state and regional level.
member of latin NHS, science NHS, history NHS, NHS, and mu alpha theta.
Vice president of medical society and schools head of the medical simulation at the local hospital. I take part in public health projects and education sessions for low income neighborhoods. I have started a program for developing education and public health projects in my native country. I am African.
the universities I am looking at are emory, vanderbilt, college of william and mary, and northwestern. My safety is morehouse college and UF. In addition, I would like to ask if all else fails is it worth it to transfer? I have thought of attending morehouse and then transferring to emory, northwestern, or possibly johns hopkins. Please tell the truth about my chances. Thank you

You really don’t have to retake the SAT that’s a solid score, Just focus on getting your GPA up and you should have a great chance. Considering your Safety’s its better to transfer to one of your top choices than get your degree from the safeties. Chance Back!

Don’t retake. You’re good. Your GPA is a bit low though…

I know my gpa is low but it is not final and this is because I am taking classes at my local college and some online classes. This will probably raise my gpa to a 3.5 or something. Also I hope my ecs will help me. I have been trying to contact a professor at emory and share my research with him.

Research is a definite strength that will put you above about 99% of others- it may even make up for the GPA.

Scores are good, ECs are awesome, but your GPA will definitely hold you back to a degree. For this reason…
Emory- Low reach
Vanderbilt- Low reach
Boston University- Match

Of course, you can help your chances by writing good essays. Good luck!!

I agree with silogram. You’ll get into BU. You will probably get into Vanderbilt and Emory if your GPA improves, as you say it will. Research like that is awesome–not just for college but to put on resumes even after you’re done with school. And if, as silogram recommends, you step it up on your essays, youll be even more desireable: you can do the math/science stuff, but it shows that you’re also capable of expressing yourself on paper (this shows you could get grants, write publishable scientific papers, etc.). You don’t list your SAT score breakdown…you know, if you can, maybe retake the SAT if your CR or Writing scores can be given a boost? But only retake if you study a lot; people with your very high scores can go down on a second/multiple try.
