600 Community Service Hours

With your 7 AP classes, high SAT scores, and the 600 hours SSL…I think you have a pretty high chance. Good luck (:

I would say in, scholars, gemstone or honors too.

Hmmm, I would say you are probably NOT into honors and definitely not Gemstone.

Your weighted GPA is high but there is something weird about the scale, because I took a similar amount of AP courses and was only slightly above that with an UW 3.9 GPA.

Also your SAT score is good but nothing broke 700, which is what most Gemstone admits have (and also they tend to have higher UW GPAs).

So, I’d say you’re into the school, and definitely into scholars (emphasis there is on community service/involvement), but I see you being a “reach” for honors and “super reach” for the Gemstone program.

how is your uw gpa only a 3.3 and your wgpa is a 4.3? your school must scale differently, or have a different schedule system.

That is a pretty big difference…

I have taken 9 ap’s and my range is only .7-.8 higher, not 1 whole point. They may rescale your weighted…or rescale mine.

Also, were your B’s in Fresh, Soph, or Jr. year? They will definitely look at your “trending” scores. Even if they are in your “hardest” classes (i.e. AP classes) Jr. year, if they were Jr. year vs. Freshman year, that will have an impact on any special programs and possibly merit decisions. They also look at whether your AP classes were the “most rigorous” offered at your school. I agree w/ Umcp11, I wouldn’t expect Gemstone or Honors, but I do think you’ll probably be admitted from Florida.
