<p>Hello everyone. Can you please tell me what you think my little brothers chances are in getting into the following schools?</p>
<p>Universities: Columbia, Georgetown, USC, Emory, Vanderbilt
Intended Major: Economics or Business</p>
<p>Current High School: International School (private), top in the country
Gender: Male
Nationality: From Central Asia (one of the ex USSR countries)
Languages: Fluent in 3 (including Russian and English), has taken 6 years of Spanish
GPA: UW3.7, weighted, not sure, but I know the maximum one can get with 3SL and 3HL is 4.25 for weighted. Essentially add a .5 for each HL course.
Program: IB Program, HL: English, Economics, Business. SL: Math, Physics, Spanish
Predicted IB Score: 39/40 (including bonus marks)
SAT1: 1940
SAT2: Math2 760, Physics 710
Legacy: Not sure, father went to Columbia and Georgetown for Graduate school, and I myself am a Georgetown graduate student right now. </p>

Model United Nations (MUN) - 3 Years, various conferences
JV Soccer - 2 years
Varsity Track - 2 years
Varsity Golf - 2 years
Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, etc - 4 years, Sax Player
Annual School Charity Band Competition - participated all 4 years, winner once, finalist once. Furthermore, for 2 years was on the committee that helped organize the competition. Raises around $10k per year for charity if I am not mistaken.
UNESCO Club - 2 years I believe, executive on the club. Responsible for creating a training program aimed at teaching IT to school children.
Investment/Photo/Other clubs - 4 years, executive in 2 of them
Volunteered in various projects and charities in the country, has around 200 volunteer hours.
School Sports Council, one of the leaders in the organization - 3 years
Class Council - 1 Year
Two short summer internships</p>
<p>Recommendations: Excellent rec's from two of his teachers, as well as his counselor. </p>
<p>Anyway, what do you guys think? especially given that he has a low SAT1 score, but is from a country that is greatly under represented in the US and US universities.</p>
