This fall (2009) will be my second year at UCSD.

I went to see a counselor at UCSD a while ago, and was told that my IGETC was never certified. She said that each college had a different method of IGETC certification. When I went to the website, they said that I had to complete my IGETC certification before transferring. I'm not sure if this is because I can't get my IGETC certification after I've graduated from my CC, or because universities won't consider IGETC in your application until they receive the official certification document.

Anyways, I'm kind of worried because I don't want to have to complete another year of courses to satisfy a requirement I should have already satisfied. Can anyone tell me if I can still get my IGETC certification? What will having it certified late mean for me? Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Jeff
