Please help me - What are my chances?

<p>I am a high school freshman and want to go to CCU (Coastal Carolina University): Below are my grades done by 9 weeks:</p>

<p>2nd 9 Weeks

<p>Semester Grades

Keyboarding - B (Got a C on the exam)

<p>3rd Nine Weeks

English - F (Is this going to kill me?) (The problem : Romeo & Juliet)

<p>So.. Is that one F going to kill me chances and "mess up" my freshman year? I think my GPA for 4th Nine Weeks is like a 2.8 (estimate)</p>

<p>First of all, you are a high school FRESHMAN. Second, although you 'think' you know where you want to go to school, you really don't (yes I just told you that): read 2nd paragraph fro explanation. Third, any potential CCers who would respond don't have sufficient info to even make a guess because you don't have your SAT scores, built up extra currics, or a sustained GPA. Right now you should be worrying about learning as much as you can and get/keep your grades as high as you can. If there is some activity that you love, follow that (I found my beloved activity in 7th grade and have been with it ever since without any instruction. That activity has given me state and national recognition, meaning that passion can take you a long way.)</p>

<p>Oh, and giving up the majority of your social life always helps. =-). Good luck, and worry less about college, and more about grades. End of sophomore year would probably be the appropriate time to start thinking about colleges you're interested in. Senior year is a long way away for you, and your interests will probably change.
