please list any schools...

So I'm currently a junior in CA with a current cumulative gpa of 3.58, and SAT score first time around (while winging it) of a 1640; not that good i know
Im currently in my school peer counseling, class council, prom committee, viet student association, muslim student association, and nourish the needy.
I also have over 150+ community service hours
the schools I am looking for are any UC's or in TX and NY, preferably schools with a good reputation because my dad is just crazy about that stuff.
Please helllllp!

Texas A&M University - College Station
UC-Santa Barbara
UC-Santa Cruz
UC-Davis (pretty sure you can’t get into UCLA or UC-Berkeley)
SUNY - Geneseo (doesn’t have a lot of “prestige” though but a very good school!)

do you think there is any chance I might be able to get into UC Irvine?
thank you!

Raise your SAT score, and you should be fine.

Irvine’s averages are about 3.9 UC GPA and 1850 SAT. That’s about the same for all the mid tier UCs.

actually Santa Barbara might be a reach but you should definitely be able to get into Santa Cruz and maybe Davis

I live in Massachusetts and in the last 4 years, my school has been perfect (10/10) for getting people into UC-Santa Cruz and the average GPA has been a 3.2 (B/B+)

thank you so much!
its hard because my dad got a full ride scholarship to ucsd and all so he wants me to at least get into a good UC and trying my best. Im taking SAT classes this summer and then retaking the SAT later so hopefully I can raise my score…

p.s im still open to more replies

just make sure that the colleges you choose to apply to are colleges that you really want to go to and not colleges that your dad wants you to apply to

good luck!

If you’re not applying for FA and raise your SAT score NYU and Barnard would be good reaches. Early Decision helps at both of these schools.
