<p>But, you have to consider that when they publicize 11% acceptance rate for Harvard that includes all the legacies, athletes, and URMs. For BA/MD programs, its usually the best of the best medical students going for the best medical positions. I know of more people getting into PLME & HPME, but getting rejected from Harvard. I know of one instance, vice versa. So, although I may like PLME and Co better, I think Harvard is harder to get into.</p>
<p>I'd say, take this poll after everyone knows where they got in. Without a doubt, many of the people on this forum applied to both. It'd be interesting how real statistical data shows.</p>
<p>most students that apply to med programs are of the caliber to be admitted to ivy league schools. I applied to many BA/MD programs as well as Ivies a couple of years ago and you find the same caliber of students interviewing for spots in these programs/schools. I was accepted into the competitive ivies as well as the competitve and not so competitive BAMD programs. I ended up choosing a BA/MD program and am glad I did. Good luck.</p>
