3.9 unweighted. 4.5 weighted.

At my school an A is a 94 or above so it can get hard

3.9 unweighted. 4.5 weighted.

At my school an A is a 94 or above so it can get hard

Freshman year
UW: 4.0
W: 4.166666666666667

That’s as high as it goes for freshmen

4.0 UW, 5.833/6.0 W

My weighting system has 5 for A in honors, 6 for A in AP. If I put it into the 5 scale many of you have, that’s a 4.92.

MUCH better than my previous years’ GPAs (2.85, 3.6, 3.85)!

my school gives .2 for honors and .3 for APs. I had 4.0 UW and 4.17W(took all honors except for required classes(no honors) such as Java, Health, and Science Research.) I was a freshman so I was not allowed to take APs but I self-studied 4 and got 5s.

Last year I did really bad… I barely focused or studied. My first semester I got a 3.65 (3 B’s and rest A’s with 7 classes) and the second semester I got a 3.8 (1 B and rest A’s with 7 classes). I’m planning on doing better this year, though! I’m actually going to study…

Last year I was in eighth grade, but I took a class at the high school and I got an A, whch is equivalent to a 3.9 GPA. I actually don’t know exact numbers because itdidnt show up on my report card.

3.984 UW. I got a B in gym freshman year.

4.0

GPA’s are not weighted, everyone pretty much takes the same classes. (unless you find a way to cheat and get ahead like I did.)

4.0 uw/4.4286 w

Wow, everyone seems to have the scale 4.0 = a, b = 3.0, etc with no inbetweens!
My scale is like this:
4.00 = A+
3.88 = A
3.64 = A-
3.33 = B+
3.00 = B
2.64 = B-

and so on :(

My school, unlike any other school I’ve seen on here, has a 100 point scale. Every assignment is given a grade out of 100, and all of the assignments are weighted and averaged together with semester exams and finals to get a semester grade per class. Then, all semester grades are weighted (x1.29 for AP, x1.15 for Pre-AP/Honors) and averaged to get a GPA. All classes count, including stupid ones like PE and Health (which obviously aren’t weighted).

As of the end of junior year, I have:
97.77727 unweighted
114.05068 weighted

Terms like "A"s and "B"s technically don’t exist at my school. It’s such a broken system.

Err, hate to break it to you some11no, but there are people here who have the 100 point scale. Maybe not calculated the same way, but yeah.

Yeah, I remember at least one in this thread

yeah i have the 100 scale too. I only know my weighted and its 101.057. The scale is CP=1.05 H= 1.1 and AP= 1.15

Uw: 3.7
w: 4.2

Junior year: 3:47 (i assume you meant simply one year but:

Overall my GPA is 3.19

My school uses Standard A = 4.0 , Honors A = 5.0 , AP A = 6.0 . If you get an A+ or A- , they are still worth the same amount of points. My school is also on the 7 point scale, so 92=b , 85=c etc.

4.0 Unweighted, All A’s
4.875 Weighted GPA. Freshman are only allowed 1 AP (which I took) and my two standards were a required gym and french II (you need 2 language credits to graduate here).

Also, just to add: alot of your GPA scales are super confusing. I’ve only ever heard of my scale, and some that are pretty similar (were 4.3 is an A+ or something, or where AP counted as 5 points or the average grade thing where 92 is your average overall grade, or GPA). Mines pretty simple ^^

@Elleya
I didn’t mean that literally :P. It’s just that it’s relatively uncommon, and it’s annoying that an “A” means something different for each school. What’s so hard about standardizing a grading scale?

@some11no you should’ve seen the school system I was in in Texas. It wasnt A, B, C, D, F. It was E, S, A, U, N. For Excellent, Satisfactory, Acceptable, Unsatisfactory and Not Acceptable. Seriously, there was no A’s and B’s but E’s and S’s. So confusing.
