Possibility of being rescinded?

Hi,

I know this forum is currently in absolute chaos because of all the decisions coming out, but I have a question about my application and would really appreciate it if someone could give me some insight on my situation…

I was accepted into UC Irvine a couple of days ago for Mechanical engineering.

However, in the UC Irvine Transfer Student Provisional Admission Contract Personalized Admission Conditions, it states that it is a requirement for me to:

Complete the following course(s) with the grade specified, by the academic term specified below:
Complete CHEM 2 with a grade of B or Better by Spring 2017. (Completed with A- last quarter)
Complete PHYS 2 with a grade of B or Better by Spring 2017. (Completed with C last quarter)
Complete PHYS 3 with a grade of B or Better by Spring 2017. (Currently in progress)

I have already completed Physics 2 (Electricity and Magnetism) last quarter, however I got a C for that class… I previously saw the requirements that I only had to report to the admissions if I had recieved BELOW a C for any of my classes, and this condition had just appeared on UC Irvine’s admissions page when I got accepted after I had already completed the course.

(Also, I had mentioned that I was going to take CHEM 3 in the Spring of 2017 because it was required for Berkeley and UCLA, however NOT required for Irvine as stated in ASSIST. I did not take that course because it was literally impossible for me to take it due to a time conflict with my other classes as I’m taking maximum units this quarter. (Planning to report this issue in the coming week.)

With all that said, I meet all other requirments for entry including the minimum GPA (Above the 3.0 requirement).

Am I going to get rescinded?

Why don’t you contact the school directly?

@MechLife Yes. Contact the school. They set parameters for a reason. Explain to them that you already had taken the course before the conditions. I hope it works out for you.

@happy1 @pkchamp89 alright, will do… Thank you for the replies, just wanted to get some opinions before reaching out to them. Ill contact them over the weekend. Hope all goes well…

@porcupine98 Yep, but it will be the only time ill be free to write in. Studying for tomorrow morning’s differential equations test haha. I’ll just write to them tomorrow afternoon, and expect a reply next week

I have a similar question guys, will I get rescinded if I drop a class that is not a requirement for Mechanical Engineering? It is part of the list of approved courses which I have to take 2 of, but I already completed 2 of those from previous semesters. Also, UCI said I need to get a B or better in my only other class I’m taking this semester so I don’t think they’ll care if I drop this one.

I have a quick question since I got accepted as a undeclared major with it stating that I only need to have a weighted 3.0 gpa doesn’t specify d’s or f’s and I currently have a D in my AP physics 2 class soon to be a c and had a d inthis class first semester what are the chances I will be revoked.I have a overall weighted GPA of over a 3.2
