does anyone know why we cant talk about it yet?? is it cuz of the make up tests?

Yeah. Make-up tests. And people in, like, Hawaii and California do the test hours after the east coast does.

MC was way harder than previous years. Reactions were easier than previous years, as with the FR. Maybe some questions in FR were about the same in previous years.

I think they put too much emphasis on us being able to multiply/divide/add without calculators. That was unfair. Also, I think the questions were more detailed and trickier than previous years. If you get a 40% on the MC (with deductions from guessing) and an 85% on FR, you will still probably get a 5 though

opps, sorry.
wasn't it implicit (what I said)?

I thought the whole test was easy, way easier than every practice exam Ive done. I skipped 3 MC and Im fairly confident in getting all of the FRQ right.

Oh yeah, and about that question that nobody can figure out, I figured it out, but now that I think about it, I forgot to add a number in my final answer that I showed in a previous step. Do you think they will give me the point for it???

I also screwed up somewhere else and it makes me angry, but I can't talk about it....... ahhhh....

Time zone thing

What number was it? A frq?

the second question on part B. Actually, a lot of people could get it, but a few people in this thread said they couldn't.

Oh I think I know what you were talking about, I had to scratch it out after I found out I was completely wrong.

It was actually really simple, but I left it to the end, and then had to rush a bit, and then, when there were 5 minutes left, I just stopped and looked around, until 30 seconds left, when I realized I kinda screwed up, and I got most of it down, but forgot 1 number. darn....

any idea what the curve will be like

My friends and I have a joke about a certain chemical that appeared in FRQ question 1. We are always so annoyed because after 2 years of chem, our classmates still think that it is like the other chemicals that are similar to it (I'm trying to be general here :D). So basically, I made a bet with my friends that it would be the chemical of question 1 and that question 1 would be that type of equilibrium. Needless to say, my jaw hit the floor when I opened my FRQ packet!

haha , good call.

all i remember is...a week b4 my test i was just thinking (so...the FR cant have organic / nuclear / electro chem...n if it comes on the MC i'll just skip it b/c it'll b at max 2-3 q's)...

GG on the electrochem frq o.o

all i gotta say is, I wish I paid attention in class last week
and didnt skip that electrochem chapter
good god
But overall, I think i got a 4/5.
I made sure I did at least 49 (for a five). I think i did 60.

I'm hoping for 4, maybe a 5, who knows :D

how many points is each free response worth? Is there a set total points for each like in the other APs or does it vary?

I feel like I did kind of bad on the MC. It's not like it was hard, just that I didn't really prepare myself enough. Doing math w/o a calc wasn't that bad though.

The frq's were ok. Nothing amazingly hard, but there were glaring holes in my knowledge that showed in some of the questions.

I was kind of hoping that there'd be an easier curve this year because of the new format, but the test really wasn't harder than previous years.

do you think this test was overall easier or harder than last year? how will the curve be?
