san jose, ca....just southeast of san francisco. why?

HAH! That's why you and your family would choose UCD :)

there are tons of source that can justify my opinions on why uci is a bit higher than ucd and like earlier i said ucd would still rank below uci in usnews if we were only to judge a school by rank. i just dont have the time to source everything and plus, those facts can be regarded as negative or postivie it's just a matter of opinions. you can believe that davis, with 5000+ acres, is best but that's just ur opinion and u are saying it like it is a fact. i won't call u a hypocrit cuz i understand your strong love and spirit for ucd.

Whether or not UCD is ranked above USNews, in my personal rankings, I'd rather go to a JC than Irvine. Honestly, the only people who care about USNews are those who are miserable and/or exessively proud at their elite institutions and need to find justification for struggling through four stressful years.

Are you serious?? Why do you not like Irvine??

SoCal, commuter school, the surrounding area just isn't to my taste... nor the composition of the student body. I love diversity, but I can't help but get over the stigma that it's a true "fob" school.

and what is wrong with fobs? anyways, are you heading ucd instead then?

goto any UC and you'll find fobs -- no escape from us!

I never applied to UC Irvine, blueprints. I'm currently deciding between Cal and Davis, but I'm probably going to the latter.

And I know you can find fobs at any UC, but Irvine is supposedly the one with the extra "fobby" emphasis... even one of my proudly fobby friends said that's why its her first-choice UC. I just think I'd fit UCD's student body anyway.

maybe i'll fit in at uci better. i am quite fobby myself haha.

wouldn't that make a fine club? FOB.
