Should I take General Chemistry or Honors Chemistry in college if I am pre-med undecided major? (either chem or bio perhaps)

They’re both horrible, honors being even worse at the moment. 2150 was pretty darn hard this sem, and it doesn’t help you as a premed, at all.

I’d say take CHEM2070/2080 [regular] because unless you’re planning on taking more chem classes in the future [besides orgo], then regular chem is fine and probably a bit easier.

2150/2160 sequence:
very thorough coverage of chemistry… way beyond premed material
likely to be much more time-demanding
possibly easier grading (curved to a B+/A- range)

2070/2080
sticks and focuses on premed material
probably less work
curve is not as friendly (curved only a B/B- range)

basically, if you really really enjoy chemistry, go for 2150/2160 as they’re going to be much more demanding and will go beyond the MCAT curriculum.

For premed purposes, Chem 215/216 is unnecessary. Most of what’s covered in Chem 216 is not found on the MCAT. The only time I would recommend Chem 215/216 is if the person is premed and a chem major. Despite the more generous curve, Chem 215/216 is significantly harder than Chem 207/208.

There’s no reason to take honors chem as a pre-med bio major. None of my pre-med friends took honors chem - or honors anything, actually - and we all got into great med schools this year. There’s no reason to take a more difficult chem class, unless you’re really thinking of majoring in chem.
