IU submitted 10/18. Passed 10/21. Audition 11/09
@kcmcgmom yes , it said you have been invited to audition and gave me the link to choose an audition time and then I got a confirmation for the date I picked. It was on get accepted.
I’m so confused about CCM. Submitted via Common app and then got email on 9/26 to choose audition time, but that could not have meant a pass because we didn’t even submit the PS until 10/1 on GetAcceptd…for those that passed, did you later get another email saying specifically that you passed the prescreen?
@CBSQandA maybe based on @MaryPoppins63 we were just waitlisted based on what they saw bc 11/9 was the date we requested as we have Coastal Carolina on 2/22 & Wright state on 11/9 already confirmed… who knows anymore??
@CBSQandA We received an email with a subject “Your CCM audition has been scheduled”. We submitted on 10/2 and received it on 10/09. I hope that helps.
@modanbsmt001 was that after all things were submitted ie 10/2? we submitted prescreen on 9/16 but hadnt done the portal pieces we discussed till just yesterday…
@NYYFanNowMTdad I just went back through my emails. We submitted the common app application on September 16 and audition form and prescreen on 10/2. We received the confirmation that we secured the audition on 10/9. I suspect submitting the audition form is critical to kick off the prescreen review.
@CBSQandA & @MaryPoppins63 i read post #160 wrong, my apologies, maybe there were still slots for 11/9 we were told 2/8 was full. which makes sense bc its the saturday after chicago unified but “who knows” is still my prevailing thought
New BFA MT mom here. Been following the MT forum for a few years. Finally my D’s turn.
I will post her results with dates in the morning. But wanted to ask specifically if anyone has heard from NYU Steinhardt.
Ds results so far - Passes from Coastal, Point Park, Rider, Otterbein, Wright State, Syracuse, UNC Greensboro, and Temple. No’s from Indiana , Redirect to acting from Penn State and Emerson. Audions scheduled at all of the passes plus VCU, U or Arts, Ohio Northern, Ohio University, JMU and Kent State. Still waiting on Cincinnati, Elon, East Carolina, Roosevelt and Viterbo - and we are exhausted already!
D’s Prescreen Results so far:
Passed from Coastal, Rider, Otterbein, Emerson, CCM, Shenandoah, Hartt, SUNY Fredonia.
No from CM, Syracuse, & Elon.
Anxiously Waiting on MSM, Catawba, and NYU Steinhardt. Anyone else heard from these?
Scheduled auditions at non-prescreens for Nazareth, Montclair, George Mason & Baldwin Wallace.
Waiting for results from video audition for American University.
Now that Christopher Newport has chosen to require an audition for entrance (versus only for scholarship), we may not be able to audition. We already have auditions scheduled during all of their MT dates. My D may contact them to see if they would consider a video audition or make other dates available.
@Melanie97 Can you indicate when Penn State pre-screen was submitted?
@Runmama if I recall PSU was very specific on the prescreen submission dates and results…if you submitted by 9/30 you were told last week 10/17 or 18 as I recall…if you submitted after 9/30 not till after New years. ( 1/6 is my recollection)
@NYYFanNowMTdad We got a waitlist for IU as well. She submitted the end of August, asked for the Nov 9th audition date, and found out Sept 8 that she was waitlisted. Others have heard after we did that they passed, so I took it that they didn’t really want to see my D!
My D has passed Illinois Wesleyan, Auburn, and Syracuse. Waitlisted for an audition at IU. Nos from Elon and U of Oklahoma.
Live prescreens in Cleveland at CCM and Kent State which we are waiting to hear from. Live prescreens at Moonifieds for Penn State, Otterbein, Florida State, Coastal, and Pace.
On campus or Unified auditions scheduled (or completed) for UNCG, U of W - SP, Ohio U, Viterbo, UArts, Point Park, Shenandoah, Ball State, Ohio Northern, Montclair, Missouri State, Texas Tech, Rider, Auburn, Belmont, Marymount, NYU, Syracuse, and Illinois Wesleyan.
@NYYFanNowMTdad, I know. I was asking when @Melanie97 actually submitted to see how long she had to wait.
@Runmama I apologize if I’m not understanding, but I think if you submit anytime before 9/30 you learn on 10/17 or 18, I don’t think it mattered if you submitted 8/30 or 9/30
@Runmama I submitted on9/30 to Penn State
@cmcconaughy Did you prescreen with NYU Steinhardt?
My daughter initially did not plan to audition to any of the schools that are requiring the Option B monologues so her two monologues are both written after 1900. Just wondering if anyone has tried to submit two contrasting monologues that were both written after 1900 to any of those Option B schools and if so, how did that turn out? The time it will take to learn, master, and shoot another monologue may be too much stress on top of stress at this point. Sort of feeling like tossing the dice and just submitting the ones she has. Has anyone else done this?
