Ok, well I just have one thing to say. The most quintessential aspect of dressing preppy has not been mentioned. I am beyond shocked (not to mention disappointed), and this has led me to believe you are all phonies. I didn’t even think I could bear it being neglected like this! What about my dear, dear friend, JCrew?

^I love you! This may be too much to believe, but I am multitasking between checking CC, and looking through July’s J. Crew catalogue ( I adore catalogues-timeless way of shopping and becoming inspired)!
If you have this, I am in LOVE with the Walkway shorts on page 17. :)

Wait, people still dress in ‘styles’. Damn, stop labeling yourselves people and just wear whatever clothes you want to. Next you’ll tell me that ‘cliques’ still exist.

^LOL cliques he’s right, cliques are a high school myth.

But seriously, this site is geared toward academics… no one cares what f**k you wear to school. Stop worrying about clothes and worry about your grades.

People at my school have mo respect for style… Some of my friends that are girls dress really nice. Classic preppy, which is rare nowadays in my town wear really short shorts with some ridiculous caged washed out pattern on then and a shirt that shows too much shoulder and arm and not mention bra straps is considered a $lutty outfit to me.

And Sperry’s? REALLY WANT SOME. Not sure if the ones I like are considered “true Sperry’s” lol. I like the Men’s Bahama in this light color. Like sand color almost. And when people ask how much a shirt I have costs they think it’s too expensive (like ten dollars). And it’s not a graphic t or something like that. My oldest brother had some preppy clothes from eight years ago - still stylish and in VERY good condition.

I got a new pair of Sperrys. My old ones [that I’ve had for a couple years] were really, really worn-out, to the point where part of the insole was gone.

Edit: loving my new shorts. J. Crew chino shorts in periwinkle!

@izzy. Nice! I am in LOVE with fun colored shorts! Not trashy neon short-shorts, but classic, well made, typically pastel shorts. They’re so fun!:)
