Are there any out there for us little ones? I don't mean the ones where you have to pay and you automatically get in. I mean the highly selective kind.

Are you a freshman in high school? I believe most prestigious summer programs are for after junior year. I think they like you to be at least 16 if you are living away from home. Look for something in your hometown or volunteer work. It will look good on your application for summer programs when you are older.

Yes, I am a freshman in high school. Thanks for the response. I love to volunteer, so I might just look into that further.

Do you have good talent search score results (SAT or ACT) from middle school? Davidson Institute’s THINK program is highly thought of (and a great experience per my kid) if you can get in.

I got a 1700 for my SAT in seventh grade. This THINK program isn’t free either :/…

Well, you didn’t say it had to be free. You said highly selective, and it is. Even though you pay, not everyone can get in. They do offer some financial aid if you are low income, I think. Were any of your individual SAT scores particularly high within that 1700?
