Just returned from FSU Preview with my son and I gotta say we were both pretty impressed. The staff all seemed very enthusiastic and the students we interacted with were more than happy to share their stories and experiences. We talked to Seniors and Freshmen. Really liked the campus and we were able to tour Landis Hall, the students opened their rooms so it wasn't just some model, large rooms, great location, very nice.
We have a few more visits to make but it's definitely moving up on his list.
Any other opinions from Preview out there?

Quick question actually! I am a student attending alone due to my parents aren’t able to come. Would that be okay?

I don’t see why not. We parked at the stadium, took a shuttle over, and walked up to check in. There is only one presentation for parents only, about what to expect when your child goes to college. I didn’t even attend that.

Preview can be done by yourself, yes.

I suggest that you do yourself a huge favor and, if you are going to live on campus next year (if you attend FSU), that you tour at least the top few choices you have on your housing application. You never know what you might discover about a building that you don’t like while touring. You could go into what you thought was your favorite building and there just be something- anything- that you don’t like. Better to find out while you can still change buildings easily than to find out after you move in.

Also, tour any and all buildings that your major will make use of. If you can, tour the libraries (I don’t remember if you can, unfortunately). Even if that just entails walking in, going around a floor or two and walking out. Tour the main building where the admin side of your major is, and then walk around the classroom buildings for your major. Most buildings will be just a pull or push on a door handle away from opening. And you probably won’t look out of character.

If you are ever hoping to ask students a question, don’t hesitate to stop someone and ask. If you want to know something about campus life, your best bet will be to go to the people on campus when you’re there.

Finally, don’t leave campus if you still have a burning question or there is something that you want to check out. If you are with one of the Preview staff, ask them about whatever you want to know about.
