@blazedragon I was going to call, but idk I don’t want to bug them too much
@exl028 I think it would be alright to call them once. I mean, they know that we are all just nervous teens, and we just want our apps to look the best when presented before the admission committee. So I don’t think it should hurt to give them a call, if it’s really important for you to know whether they have updated your app or not.
I agree with @blazedragon, plus it can’t hurt your application! Decisions have almost certainly been made now, and they’re not going to reject you because you called them out to check
@vassari @blazedragon I called and the call kept dropping lol so when it finally worked I was transferred and had to leave a voicemail; the three people who I talked to made it seem as though people were still emailing updates.
I now have some peace of mind. I called and they said they did have it!! Now I’m praying. [-O<
Does anyone have any idea at all what stage of the process the admission committee is in now?
@exl028 almost posted on the wrong thread (noticed you were in the Columbia one too haha). I think you did the right thing!
@Wendelstein I would speculate they’ve made decisions on many applications rn, and will probably finish off in the coming days
@vossari yeah I’m so scared. I love Princeton; but its so competitive
@exl028 It is such a great uni! It’s a long shot for me, but when I started researching closer, especially before my interview, I really fell in love! You never know, but I don’t think I’ll get in. Best of luck to you though!
@vossari @exl028 After all the things I read about Princeton, and researching on it, I too fell in love with the university and think of it as just the best thing that could happen for me, but like both of you mentioned, it is insanely difficult to get admitted, so I really don’t want to keep my hopes up too high. But still, being forever hopeful until D-Day is perhaps a curse that affects us all. Nevertheless, best of luck to you both and everybody else!
@blazedragon thanks! Best of luck to you too
@vossari @blazedragon Best of luck to both of you too!
I know the financial aid emails have been brought up a lot but I’m a little confused. I received a missing PFAA form in late February like a few people on this thread and I sent it in. However, I never received a “missing tax form” email even though I now know that I’m missing some tax documents. Do you guys think it means anything? Why would I get a missing PFAA email but no missing tax doc email? Thanks!
@herpinderpin I received basically the same email from Undergraduate Financial Aid. I applied to Princeton early.
@Foodlover001 hey so i had the same thing happen. i called financial aid and basically they said they had everything. i think it was an error on their part. you should call to make sure
@exl028 : thanks for your input! I actually did call them and they said the exact same thing that they had everything. I don’t know what that means considering I haven’t sent in my W2. I guess we’ll find out next week!
@Foodlover001 oh thats interesting. i sent my docs through email and never received an ok from them so that was odd. i wanted to ask why i got the email if they had everything, but i thought that was too pushy… haha but i did call admissions today about an update that they again never sent a reply to as confirmation… and basically they just confirmed they had it and reiterated that “it was in my file for the admissions officer to see.” I was honestly so afraid to call but they were so helpful. the call was dropped three 2 times so i called a third time and left a voicemail and the person called back and was super nice
Trying to not stress out about the fact that I haven’t received any PFAA emails, but as 3/31 draws near I keep stressing out more about menial things ~X(
@exl028 : also, did you already send in your tax documents and then get the email? I thought my parents sent it in but they didn’t and I never received the second email.
@exl028 : thanks! Yeah, they’re pretty helpful over the phone!
