@Foodlover001 I sent my paperwork in February after the first email; No i did not receive a confirmation email, which is why i thought maybe they didnt get it since they didnt reply and i got the email last week, but when i called they did have it.
Does anyone know why on the PFAA they had a question on whether you were planning on Medicine, Law, or Ministry?
Goodness all of this speculation around the PFAA is crazy. I don’t know what to think anymore. I got the PFAA emails and filled out the stuff and sent in the tax forms but heard nothing from them after the fact. No email asking for tax forms. Then I sent an email update today and got a pretty quick reply that said “thank you this will be added to your file” or something along those lines.
Yeah idk whats going on either
Let’s just let it be. xD The Financial AId department at Princeton is kinda wacky in its sense of working (Read last years’ posts, this craziness has been happening since at least 2008! ) so there’s no point in worrying too much about it. Whatever conclusion we all will draw here, won’t matter in the end. Because only 3/31 will be the day that the truth will be revealed, and any coincidence that might be seen through the results would be just that: coincidence. So nopoint in worrying, and if it helps, those who want to feel like it, can take it as a positive sign! xD (Myself included, to be honest ) :)) :((
Does not updating any schools besides a Mid-Year Report hurt my chances? I sent a letter of continued interest to schools that I was deferred from, but besides that I have not sent anything.
@BiochemHopeful Nope, it won’t count against you. Updating the schools is primarily used to communicate if you’ve had significant achievements since sending in your app (winning a national or international competition, for example) or if circumstances have changed (for example drop in grades or if you dropped a class since Midyear Reports went out).
@frenchtoastlover , thank you! My basketball team did very well in the state tournament mbut besides that I did not have anything to write about so I was not compelled to send an update. Thanks again for easing my nerves.
No problem @BiochemHopeful!
I briefly considered being evil and posting here that my portal had updated and I had received a decision, and then watching everyone lose their mind for a few hours before making some excuse such as ‘oops, wrong thread’. But then I caught myself and realised that’s not what a good Princeton applicant would do, right? (Disclaimer: nobody get offended by this, please take it as a joke lol)
@vossari That would have surely caused a firestorm in here! :)) :))
@vossari - That would have been hilarious!
@vossari People probably had some similar thoughts and it indeed would have been hilarious. However, I think you made the right choice about not posting something like that haha
@Anonymoose3 @blazedragon don’t make me regret it! Just trying to lighten up the mood haha
@vossari people’s emotions are all over the place so who knows how people would have responded . wise choice of not posting
@vossari Although it would have been really crazy, trust me, you did the right thing by not actually posting it. :)) Judging by how stressed people are, I can safely bet that you would get several messages that would have been like, “I will find you and I will kill you” once you told them it was just a joke! :))
@vossari It’s a good thing you didn’t do that! There have been some posters who did that kind of thing in the past (not sure if it was meant to be a joke or if they were straight out trying to upset people) but they were quickly banished. So I’m glad you didn’t! =)
What email did you guys send updated information too? And also did someone reply and who??
@mwm2020 I sent it to uaoffice@princeton.edu and they did not reply. if you see in the past posts. I called yesterday (after two weeks of having sent the email) after I found the guts and asked if it was added to my file and they were super nice and said yeah
@mwm2020 It was sent to the office of admissions. Yes, someone replied from the office of admissions.
