@mediokra Thanks for the reassurance!
No, not insane. I am doing the exact same thing for one of my Dual Enrollment courses. I am also going to complete all of my supplemental essays before hand – dont want a defeatist attitude or lack of motivation to come across.
Plus, 13 is an unlucky number. I will probably wait until after my exam on Friday.
@18YearsASlav Where are you applying RD? I just finished my RD supps.

Anyone interested in creating a SCEA specific chance forum?
@18YearsASlav yep, mine’s DE as well… Also, that is a great point about 13 being unlucky. Not a superstitious person, but I will be when it comes to my dream school.
Anybody who received an email to submit the 1st quarter grade? My friend ED Brown has been required to do so.
@webuyourselves if you scroll through this thread, about 10 of us got requests haha
for those who received q1 requests… Does your school run a trimester or quarter system? anyone get this request at a school that doesn’t normally offer q1 grades?
So sad I did not receive the 1st quarter grade request. I don’t know what it means.
@university2022 My school is semester based but they give progress reports about every quarter, its just they aren’t grades that actually count. I think that Princeton is only asking for them to make sure we haven’t all of a sudden started failing all our classes.
@university2022 , trimester schedule here.
@webuyourselves your counselor could have sent the request without telling you. for those who received it, did they email come to you and your counselor, or just the counselor?
@university2022 just like @HolaHola2 , my school runs purely on semesters, so the admissions officer asked for progress grades.
@webuyourselves we haven’t concluded what along for Q1 grades means yet. What we do know is that plenty of people who were not asked were accepted too! So don’t feel sad. TBH, it is mainly, for me, just something to obsess over while we wait.
Any people on past threads who received the request and were not accepted?
I saw one person who was deferred, but they did say that their grades had dropped in the first quarter. But, considering the sample size (lol), it isn’t that reliable.
@university2022 someone went through old threads and said they didn’t find anyone with the request who was rejected… but in a voluntary survey like this one, people are more likely to give positive results, idk maybe they were embarrassed about not getting in? either way, the only thing that’s 100% positive is that the Q1 request isn’t necessary for admission
@HolaHola2 I agree with that logic. I think it’s a final check before they admit. But I could just be subscribing to wishful thinking.
@university2022 I got one and we run on a semester system.
