A lot of people have been asked for quarter grades, I’m worried. I haven’t been asked for them. Oh well, I guess there’s nothing I can do about it now!
Crying in the shower was a nice catharsis. Making some nice baked goods and then eating them passes the time and then you get a treat. Maybe work for an EC or something? Hell you could even spam email lower tier colleges asking for free merch. The possibilities are endless @appletree456789
Could quarter grades be the final check they make on an applicant before admitting them in a few days? Could a B+ be a deal-breaker for admission?
@appletree456789 I’m in the same boat. I don’t imagine it would be a dealbreaker as long as you’re consistent or improving in your 4-year academic background
I am!
Let’s all have a pool party for 6ish days to unwind
@nih00 Majoring in English?
@appletree456789 don’t forget that not having the Q1 grade request doesn’t mean you’re not admitted!!! Princeton took 3 people from my school last year and none had the request
@roboticsismylife I have a 4.0 (3.94 unweighted–thanks, algebra II/trig) but have a B in calc AB and B+ in AP comp gov. Hoping this isn’t an issue. Very concerned.
@appletree456789 yes I’m majoring in English
@appletree456789 I doubt it’s a problem. Your grades are only from one quarter of high school, so having a few “bad” grades probably won’t be enough to significantly sway your decision

Has anyone done research during their summers?
@calculess Thanks for that much-needed reassurance.
@nihoo Did you submit a creative writing arts supplement? Pton’s writing programs are INSANE.
@orgooo Gotcha. I got a request. I know that might not mean anything. That’s interesting. Maybe there isn’t a correlation after all.
It’s so nice to talk to you all! I thought I was the only one dying of stress.
@appletree456789 i’m really stressed. today has been tough. tomorrow is Friday though, so let’s try and have some fun! this is really nice though you’re right
@appletree456789 also, since those grades are in AP classes, I’m sure they will be a little more lenient there too. If it was a regular class, maybe not. But because they know how rigorous AP is, I’m sure those grades wouldn’t be something that serious.
Also, am I crazy if I am not going to check my status until later Thursday? I have a college final that Thursday morning, and I don’t want my decision (incredibly good, disappointing, or really disappointing) to throw me off. Am I alone in this? 8-X
