Does anybody know of any cool programs to do before the freshman year of college? List all and any, please. Thanks.

A lot are targeted solely at Summer before Senior year (after Junior Year), it was hard finding any for after sophomore year myself.

But I noticed that the NIH internship seemed to accept a lot of undergraduate students and they accept high school students as well so I imagine from 11th grade - end of undergrad would work for that.

I don’t quite know of anything else. But I think this is a very interesting prospect. Because with all people doing these “prestigious” activities and programs with the sole intention of appearing good in the eyes of college admissions committees, the summer after senior year is a period of emptiness where that incentive is null. As theres no way anything you do then can help you in college admissions and no college will rescind admission for not attending such a program, this is genuinely something to participate in for one’s own benefit/enjoyment/growth/etc.

It’s a bit noble now that I think about it. Too bad I don’t know of any such programs either. I’ll keep watch on this thread to see if I can learn about any programs I hadn’t heard about.

The Clark Scholars program takes current seniors. You can check that thread.

Am in the same position. Would also like to know any available job/programs after Senior Year.
