Prospective class of 2012-ers:

All right. I'm a junior, you're a junior, and if you're here you've probably already decided that Pton is the place for you. The thing is, the applications process is highly competitive and more than a little nerve-wracking and scary, so my proposal is that we look out for each other over the next few months.

Basically, I meant to start a discussion for people who have questions, comments, stories, or just in general a place for us to all stress out together.

hey there pton is my first choice too.

also mine. my uni loveeeeeeee

Here's another applicant for the Class of 2012.

haha wow...already a thread for a Class of 2012 :)
Well I wish that I will be seeing all of you in Princeton in September 2008!

supa coo
man i waited a week be4 the application was due to apply
guess it was cuz i was scared of the numbers
its never a bad idea to apply

awesome. I'm glad we have some juniors on this board

Seriously this is exciting! I hope ya'll all become "friends" with each other the way we did.

I'll be applying to Princeton too as my first choice, hope we can all help each other out. Just wondering for all the people who have Pton as first choice, why is it your first choice?

Hey all,

It's not a first choice for me, since I don't have one. I'm definitely going to apply though. I have two generations of legacy on my Dad's side, so if I'm going Ivy, it might as well be to Princeton.

It's my first choice as well. As some of you know ;-)

I'm here, too! What other schools are you guys thinking of applying to?

Princeton's not my first choice but I'm definitely looking into applying.

I will probably apply to Princeton, depending on where I get in early.

Same here- if I get into MIT early, I don't think I'm applying to Princeton. We'll see, though. A lot can change in 6 months.

^^So true. My "application list" changed nearly 30 times between summer before my senior year and the end of December, and that's really not an exaggeration. My first choice was always Princeton, but everything else flip-flopped this way and that. You'd be surprised at how much you change your mind.

Or perhaps I am just intrinsically indecisive.

I'm totally the same way. My current 5-school application list are schools that have been on the list for more or less the whole time, but once in a while some other school will come in and shake up the order, or I'll decide that I like one of them a lot more than I used to, or I'll briefly consider becoming a hermit and skipping the whole college business. You get the point.

In terms of schools I'm applying to, I'm pretty sure that it's going to be these five. As to which one of them would be my first choice, though... it changes weekly. ;)

I think I'm going to apply to Princeton too. I don't think it's my first choice (I really have no idea what my first choice is, I have a list like a page long of places I want to visit) but Princeton seems awesome and I'll probably apply.

I really hate the fact that there is no ED program next year. Its the reason why Yale has become so much more appealing now.

Really? It's the opposite for me. I could never apply ED somewhere just because I'm so liable to change my mind and I hate commitment I can't back out of. I started to look at Princeton a lot more seriously once they got rid of ED.
