<p>I'm in the COE and a little worried about my unit load, but I have no choice since the normal progress clause says I have to take 30 units a year. Here's my schedule:</p>
<p>-Math 1A (5 on calc ab, but took it junior year so I wanted to start over, shouldn't be too hard for me)
-Chem 1A
-Integrative Biology 35ac (a little worried about this class, there are mixed reviews on rate my prof)
-E 10
-ME 24 seminar </p>
<p>Total: 15 units</p>
<p>I also had a question about AP Biology. I got a 5 on the test, I heard somewhere on here that you could AP out of chem 1a with a 5 on the ap bio test. That didn't make sense to me, but it that true? I studied my butt off for that ap bio test and it would be cool if that could actually pay off and get me out of the class...</p>
<p>Seriously, how could an AP Bio exam get you out of a chemistry requirement?</p>
<p>It would help if you said you major. I know for EECS they have a SCIENCE ELECTIVE requirement, NOT a chem requirement. So you don’t have to take Chem 1A you can instead take Bio 1A and here is where your 5 on the AP Bio test comes in.</p>
<p>“UCB Science Elective; one course from the following: Physics 7C or H7C, Chemistry 1A, Biology 1A, Astronomy 7AB, Biology 1B, Chemistry 1B, 3AB, 4AB, and 5, Molecular and Cell Biology 32/32L, or an upper-division course in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Planetary Science, Integrative Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Physics, or Plant and Microbial Biology”</p>
<p>since ur taking E10, I assume ur in an engineering that’s not EECS. no, only AP Chem will get u out of Chem 1A. sorry, but AP Bio wont get u out of anything unless u need a science elective…</p>
