@Akeating Nothing lol still no letter in the mail either. I called and they said they can’t tell me anything over the phone. I have school and work M-F so it’s difficult to drive an hour up there to talk to them as well.
I’m really confused. I feel like it’s a no since my message doesn’t say congrats, but I haven’t even gotten a rejection letter and it’s been about 4 business days with it having that message.
The only reason I can think of is because I’m currently enrolled in Spanish II which would complete the language requirement they have. But you think I would get an email saying send us your current grades or something
@Akeating@dubsup I actually have the same message… At the top it says “Thank you for applying…” and then under the section for “Check your application information,” it says “We have received your application…”
@NineBe sure! I’m surprised to hear some of you haven’t received letters yet, and some of you haven’t even had a transcript load? That’s pretty ridiculous. @dubsub I had a friend apply as a freshman months back to get in this Fall and he at the time was enrolled in Spanish 2. He got his acceptance letter fairly early, so if that is the only reason you can think of, I’d say you have a pretty good chance at getting in
@NineBe that’s my issue… I only have the message to rely on since I already have a transcript from being a non-matriculated student in the summer and the letter, which I have yet to receive…
@wintransfer2016 aaaaah i see …ok have you applied for any financial aid? that was the another spot i figured out they populated before telling me I am accepted. if you have look at the msgs there
@dubsup I really don’t think you should lose faith yet. There’s no reason you should be denied and someone said a few pages back that UW is sending decisions out thru Thanksgiving so you should hear something soon
You’re right that they may be awaiting completion of your CADRs!
@snailshellz Trying not to! but it’s hard not to be negative now hah.
@Leibnizzzzz Honestly it might just be they’re really on the fence about admitting me or not and so they might be taking longer to decide. Only other guess I have besides spanish, which according to you might not be the issue!
Anyway, I called again and he told me to read him the message and when I did he said it means my application is in the review process. He told me I should hear something within the next “few weeks” hahaha…awesome, it’s not like its already been almost two months or anything.
@wintransfer2016 you should call and see what they say to you! Explain the message you have and ask what it means exactly and if it’s a bad or good thing lol I forgot to ask that.
@dubsup@wintransfer2016 I had the same message until my decision was made. It just means they’re still looking over your app, it’s nothing conclusive one way or the other.
UW is super late with admissions this year so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still admitting people in mid December. Most people last year had heard by Nov 7, this year it was Nov 20ish. So yeah… Some OOS guy last year was admitted on Dec 3. It ain’t over til it’s over
Just got my welcome packet in the mail and promptly sent them back the I’ll-attend slip and the new-student fee. Hope to get into orientation soon. Got a measles titer done today as well. Ya’ll know about the vaccination requirement, right?
So I can’t go to UW unfortunately. I spoke with the advisor, who informed me it would be wiser to just attend another school in the situation I’m in. We did talk for a while, so I feel confident this is the right move.
It makes me disappointed to think I cannot join y’all winter quarter. If I could give my offer of admission to someone else on this thread who has not yet received one, I totally would!
Will you be attending WSU instead? Or did you apply elsewhere?
Well I hope you’re satisfied with your choice to go elsewhere, and not too sad about missing out on UW. I know if I couldn’t study math at UW, then I would probably choose a different school as well. UW is a good school, but math is my priority!
I also low-key think you’re dodging a bullet. The UW applied math department is really competitive, and the CSE department insanely competitive. Think of how much lower your blood pressure will be during finals week!!
@snailshellz I know, right?! I will be attending WSU instead, they have applied math, computer science, and also a really good study abroad program for math majors that I am interested in. It breaks my heart because I have been aiming for UW for years now, but in the end math is the main thing for me as well, like you said.
I guess since I will be a cougar, I will technically be your guys’ rival haha B-) but we don’t have to view it that way lol
@Leibnizzzzz I know it’s probably complicated to explain, but why is UW not going to work?
Reason I ask is because I also have a shit ton of credits…I have my AA and I’m about 5 credits short of my Associates of business. So was it an issue regarding your amount of credits?
I wish you the best of luck in Pullman. School is what you make of it, WSU can be just as great as UW. Just depends what you do with your time there.
Hello Everyone,
For those who’s transcripts loaded, Is anyone still waiting for their acceptance letter/packet? i feel like UW is taking their sweet time.
