@bear44 Welcome! We should be hearing back this week since it is finally November
@bear44 last year people found out between about Nov 2nd all the way until December 12. Let’s hope we’re all first week of November
@snailshellz false alarm, senior exchange student from the Netherlands who’s expecting an acceptance.
@dubsup yes, I really don’t wanna go through the torture of waiting till December for a decision.
Not sure if this was already posted, but before I forget, here are the quick UW-stats in recent past transfer admissions:

And, Freshman entry stats also:

G’luck all!
Nerves are really starting to kick in :((
Has anyone been able to see/load their transcript yet?
Nope I haven’t had my transcript load. I check multiple times a day
The more I read from last years thread seems super hard for OOS
the transcript load trick is BS. It was a trick created to mess with us and make us all even more anxious
Hey guys, I talked to a UW admissions officer today! She said the following:
-it is possible that we could hear back as late as the end of December, but most likely in the next couple of weeks.
-those who applied GA or to a non-competitive major may hear back sooner
-also mentioned that there is some issue with recruitment that may be causing a delay, not sure on the specifics
She was super sweet about everything though! I hope this info helped you guys! So looks like more waiting is probably in order :((
In the meantime, I’ll be focusing on my last midterm!
@snailshellz More waiting? Meh >:P ! It’s already been over two months! I’ll just continue with my daily ritual of checking here and the unofficial transcript.
Oh well. I’m hoping that if I do get in “in the next couple of weeks” I can still register for some decent classes.
Since we have time ya’ll…any opinions about these schools and what you would pick as an alternative?
1.Purdue
2.Ohio State University
3.University of Oregon
Also! What other schools have you all applied to? It would be greatly appreciated to hear some of the backup plans out there if UW doesnt prevail.
@snailshellz Thanks for all the info! Can’t believe there’s going to be a delay. Hope it’s not too long! Really was hoping to hear news this week
I check this forum and my.uw every other hour Hahaha.
I just got accepted to Foster!
@will96 congrats! Can you give us some details? Did you get a letter? Did your transcript load? Grades? Essay? WSA scores? Are you a CC transfer?
@will96 Did you get something in the postal mail? An email? Ghoulie crawl out of your toilet and tell you? Do tell us!
And congrats, of course!
@will96 Congratulations!!!
@will96 also, you posted something about already being accepted in the fall 2015 thread. Was that the general application?
@BillyReuben Well, she was pretty vague about everything. I imagine that admissions people aren’t allowed to divulge much, especially to random students who come up to them with a list of questions. “In the next couple of weeks” could mean tomorrow… or it could mean Thanksgiving.
@jameson992 I’d probably pick Purdue first out of those schools, or whichever one is the least expensive to attend! I’m pretty sure they all have similar levels of “prestige”, for what it’s worth.
@Akeating Yeah, when I first asked her about when us winter transfers would hear back, she immediately started talking about this delay. She spoke quickly, so I didn’t hear exactly what caused the delay. Oh well.
I definitely check MyUW way more than is healthy.
