Haha ok, time for me to stop complaining and try to be helpful.
In addition to checking the unofficial transcript, I also try to login to student housing application (student not found) or any UW web login that will require the student ID which we don’t have yet if not admitted. The financial aid portal page (when logged in with your UW NetID) has several links like this.
I also just realized I forgot to put a fallback major from LSJ in my UW app, thinking I’d be fleshed out and admitted quickly with two associate degrees earned summer 2015 with honors. Seems like a lifetime ago, now, haha, and definitely less sure now.
This had been a great insight into a large university application process, and you guys are great to hang out with and wait. I actually never thought I’d be a candidate for UW and am kinda enjoying this process even with its hair pulling and lack of info!
A rejection at this point would at least let me concentrate on alternatives and that would be nice lol. I’m going tomorrow for measles immunity blood draw. Our home is only 2.6 miles from WWU campus, another reason I’m struggling with the chance of UW.
It is difficult to explain to my (very practical) wife why I’m too good to go to the school I’m already admitted to and that we happen to live next to. Jeez;)
So to summarize the will96 situation: he heard back from Foster because he’s a UW native student who transferred into the school in Fall 2015. Not sure why he posted in the transfer thread when he isn’t a transfer.
@nicoli yeah, I’m the opposite: I live 2-3mi from UW!
I don’t understand what UW expects non-Seattle residents to do when winter transfers have such little turnaround time between acceptance and the start of the quarter. If I didn’t live close, I would be upset/terrified/bugging admissions
Nice, I wish we lived that close too! Even if I somehow get in and going to UW, I still gotta work out how we would handle that distance while owning a home up here. That is the power and draw of the UW hehe!
I just found this thread! I’m glad people are talking about this! Congrats on your transcript loading! My transcript just loaded as well.
I was wondering if the transcript loading trick is just for the Seattle campus?..because I applied to the Bothell one also and I don’t know if that means I got in for bothell or Seattle since mine has two applications on it. Does anyone know?
Thank you! I didn’t see anything specifying bothell so I guess it’s for Seattle. Under college, it says “business school” which makes me believe it’s not Seattle because I applied to Foster business school as a transfer so I would assume it would say Foster, but what do I know. I will check this post regularly and see if anyone has the same situation. I was reading the other quarters posts about transcripts and some people didn’t have their unofficial transcript load until about two or three weeks after the first batch of people started loading theirs. So don’t lose hope anyone! It just started
I emailed foster today and they told me that my decision was “on hold” and I’d hear back tomorrow by 5. What does that even mean?? They wouldn’t clarify. All of my numbers are above average for admitted… I’m kind of confused right now
Also, can you only load your unofficial transcript once a day?
Are you a current UW student or a transfer for foster? Also, I’m able to upload my transcripts when ever. You might want to try logging out and back in again.
@fullmelt you said you got accepted to Tacoma and that is why your transcript is loading at all. Can I ask what your transcript says under the word college? Does it say Tacoma
I am just trying to figure out what campus my transcript is loading from
I applied for UW Seattle @snailshellz…my major is business administration. Stats, I’ll get back to you on…just waiting to hear back from Foster now, fingers crossed.
@sonicnation95 - I applied for UW Seattle in September and Foster in October, both applications were submitted on the deadline date.
Ah, ok so seems like business school people are hearing back first! This is a trend I noticed in past threads. Thanks @ijustwanaknow !
Not to be bossy or anything, y’all don’t have to listen to me, but if those who have had their transcripts load would post their intended major, GPA, whether they’re from instate CC or a 4-year, etc. that would be helpful to the rest of us still waiting!
