PSU BA/MD program?

I Got In! Yeah See U In August Everyone <3!!!!!

i'm depressed. won't be able to go to psu.

angad ... you really need to go!
so bad ... it's really neat you know
It's Eternal, Man!
In Paterno-Land!
It's neat to go and TAILGATE !!!
You need to go to PENN STATE !!!

ILLINOIS 187: Why won't you be able to go to Penn State?

GOMEZ: ummm.. ok.. no... lolz

@angad19: Money. SLU Med scholars = free for me, PSU = out of state and I got NO finaid from their office. PSU will be 50K for two years. =(

PSU is actually 35 k a year, so like 70 K over 2 years.

But yeah, I seee what you mean, and especially since both programs get your the guaranteed MD, so you are better off not paying =D

I'm prolly going to HPME, so undergrad there is about 51K per year.. yay =(

didnt get in.. do you think they have an appeals process? its not a big deal i mean but i guess it doesnt hurt to try!

@angad19: you're forgetting the two summers, which is 13k each. They'll probably jack up tuition and rates up 2k, so it amounts to about 50k each year.

i seriously thought that the summers were includedin the 35K. lol. wow.

so, by going to HPME, I'll really only be spending about 50K more which, in the grand scheme of things, isn't that much =D

Oh, But No Joe Paterno

If I have a 1440 on the sat, but a 32 on the act, can I apply for this program? Cause they ask for a 1450 or a 32...

You can. But to be honest, your chances of getting are pretty low unless you can boost your SAT by 100 points =(

SAT is very important to the adcom for the program

^If I don't send my sat score?

even with your act score, you're at the minimum requirements. You should really try to get your sat or your act score higher, at the very least.

When I applied (and got in) I had a 1480 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT.

got it. thanks/

I would highly recommend taking the SAT again. Interestingly enough, I got a 1440 on my SAT the first time too (back in the spring of Junior Year). I took it again in October and pulled a 1540 (and got in).

JoePa taken to the hospital for dehydration. Thank goodness, no big deal. If you were a doctor, what would you do? Maybe about a little H2O? How about a little H3C-CH2OH ?

JoePa is a beast. He's like 90 and still leading a great team.

I think he's 81-82. Nevertheless, I hope I can be that active at that age (assuming I even get there). Maybe he drinks Jack LaLanne Juicer drinks.

dont know about great team but yeah he is a legend
