Someone told me you have to basically National Merit to get into this, is it true?

nah, you just have to find the cure for cancer...

your mom has to be national merit

If you're 6'6", solid muscle, and can sling a football thru a tire 50 yards away, JoePa might want to talk to you.

^I heard he was only looking for people 6'7"...

They're not cutting the program I talked with an admissions rep in march. The only change is they will count the SAT Writing score. Right now the min. SAT is 1450.

August 30 !!!

Hey, Does anyone know the selectivity of the program like the number of Applied vs Accepted?

Thanks in advance!

What about 6 year accelerated Law School Programs?

I know of St. Thomas University's 6 year accelerated program. It's located in Miami Gardens, FL

But there's no JoePa there. Why get a law degree in Florida without getting to see JoePa?

gomez, you are the weirdest mofo i have ever seen on a forum.

you talk about joe pa in all of your 23 posts.

I think I read somewhere it is mandatory to be in top 10% of class, is that true?

Ah, but JoePa's football teams are regularly ranked within the nation's top 10.

(Although currently ranked ~22nd -- JoePa gonna send them Coastal Carolina Chanticleers singing the blues right outta Beaver Stadium next week as Penn State moves on up in the rankings.)

NOTE:
Penn State Football Eve: Friday, Aug 29, 6pm @ Beaver Stadium -- BE THERE OR BE SQUARE !

zzzboy, If you don't like football, maybe you like to dance? PSU has DANCE MARATHON (dance the night away to cure childhood cancer). What a great cause !!!

Get your toes - a - tappin!

does having an alumni from the med program help for an applicant? Also, on the requirements, the program states,

"On rare occasion, applications with exceptionally distinguished high school records, but whose credentials are slightly below the state, may be given consideration." Does the distinguished records referring to e.c.'s, research, summer programs, and that?

Hey guys question, what if your school doesn't rank?? What happens to the 10% of your class thing?

yea my school doesn't rank either so im assuming psu will just look at our unweighted gpa and the rigor of our course selection

also does this program superscore the SAT cuz im retaking the SAT in October and i honestly dont think i can get an 800 in writing again...

dont worry about whether or not your school ranks because if it doesnt, PSU will have your counselor send them your GPA and the highest GPA in the class, and they can judge you based on that as well as the academic rigor of your schedule.

Hail to 33 yr old newbie Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald!

On the way to becoming another JoePa!
Time to beat up on Duke this Saturday!

question: from previous posts in this forum it seems like psu used to only look at the math and english sections of the ACT, but since they now require a min composite of 32 does that mean they look at all the sections? im guessing it does which cuz i got a 35 on the math and english sections but only got a 33 composite (stupid science)
