<p>Are we allowed to put stuff up on our walls in the dorms? Like with push pins for frames, calendar, pictures, etc.?</p>

<p>As Whiteclock has said, you get fined if there is any damage to the walls. According to the Housing person during Orientation, she (it was a lady during my orientation) said that if they find out there is any damage, they would fine you. Quite a bit too. o-o </p>
<p>Apparently UCR uses a “special” kind of paint to paint the walls, and we can’t go to Home Depot or Lowe’s to find that particular color to paint over the damage. They suggested to have those tape things that you can put on the walls and peel off without any damage. I’m not entirely sure what they’re called, but those are allowed.</p>
<p>yeah, the HOUSING LADY mentioned that at my orientation too. i’m gonna start looking for that, or are there any students here who know what they’re called? i need to go buy some. (for putting things on the walls without damaging anything)</p>

Sorry if I seem “mad” or “defensive,” but you really shouldn’t have said something like that…</p>
<p>The ones the housing lady told us during my orientation were the tape kinds that you can peel off without damaging the walls. I don’t recall her saying it was putty. :x So I dunno.</p>

i was so freakin sleeeeeeeeepy though, i hadn’t slept til 3am that night =/ so yeah, my brain wasn’t functioning well</p>

<p>lol i sat like 2 rows away from the lady lecturing… and i sort of fell asleep on her. i felt SO bad because I knew she could see me. AHAha</p>

<p>yea that lecture was just so boring. My whole row was sleeping haha. Everything she talked about was pretty obvious</p>
<p>I “went” to the bathroom but I just took a self guided tour of Bourns I saw this super cool lab for environmental engineering</p>
