<p>I am an international student currently studying at a community
college. I applied to Berkeley for applied mathematics major. </p>

<li><p>I am taking poli 1 to fulfill the requirement of American history
and insitution. Does the class fulfill the social science in IGETC as
well, or do I need to take another class the fulfill IGETC?</p></li>
<li><p>Similar question to #1. Does the course which fulfill American
Culture fulfill IGETC as well?</p></li>
<li><p>If I choose to fulfill IGETC, do I need to take English
class(R1A+R1B) after transfer?</p></li>
<li><p>If I have changes to the class planning of spring quarter after the
deadline of update, how can I notify UC?</p></li>

<p>I believe you can not satisfy two IGETC requirements with the same class but just don't take my word you should talk to a counselor.</p>

<p>Most of your questions can be answered by having your CCC's IGETC in front of you to see which courses fulfill what. Once IGETC is complete, you don't have to worry about any UC GE courses you may have needed to take (R1A+R1B, etc).</p>

<p>American History and Institutions is a UC graduation requirement, not needed for IGETC (but it can be used for IGETC anyway)</p>

<p>I am planning to finish both American institution and American culture before transfer. Thus, I can concentrate on upper division classes.</p>
