When UCLA looks at your GPA, how far into the semesters do they go? If you want to transfer for Fall 2011, would they keep track of it all the way until the end of Spring 2011 or would the Fall 2010 grades be the last ones they look at?

The GPA of your spring classes (i.e. planned courses) will not be considered for admissions. However, they will review them when you turn in your transcript, after being accepted, and they will look if you’ve passed all your classes and retained a relatively good GPA.

Yeah I thought that’s how it probably was. Calc 1 might just screw me over.

i feel you man ! i got a B in calc 1 and a B in econ 100 but still what i am going to do is take like two semesters of some heavy load courses that i am sure i could get A in all of them and that will boost my GPA up…

After spring semester you need to update the UCs with your new grades.

So when they are looking over your application primarily they will obviously not see them, but eventually you must update them with ALL GRADES that you have gotten at your community college and only if you do VERY POORLY will they change their mind, so I doubt a few Bs or even a C would get you rejected after already being accepted, but remember to always try your hardest!
