I was planning to TAG one UC next year and apply to a few others, but I see that TAG requires IGETC. However, IGETC needs a bunch of stuff like arts and humanities which I can't take because I need to complete all my engineering prerequisites.

Should I try to take all the classes I need or just not do TAG?

Well, I think that the UC is more interested in you having all your prereqs done for your major, and since you have a specific science engineer major, then the arts and humanities shouldn’t matter. What engineer major are you looking at and for what school?

That’s true for the normal application. But for the TAG program, IGETC is required as far as I know. I was looking to apply for Computer Engineering in UCSD.

The only UC that requires IGETC for TAG is UCSD. All the other schools do not
