Question for Alexandre or Hoedown regarding Honors

<p>After I sent my application to Michigan, but before they had reached any decision, I got a letter telling me to e-mail U-M and ask to be considered for Honors. I did so, and a few weeks later they acknowledged my request. I got into michigan 11/23. I hear a lot of people are saying they've gotten invitations to apply to Honors, but I haven't gotten one. Is this because I already requested it? I think I would get into Honors, I have 4.0 UW, 2250 SAT, etc...also, do I have a good chance at scholarships and if I do get any, when will I hear about them? Like before Christmas?</p>

<p>If you're in state or a URM you have a decent chance at scholarships. Otherwise, no. The reason you aren't getting an invitation is because they already processed your request.</p>

<p>never mind, today in the mail I got an invitation to apply for the excellence program and honors program, i just jumped the gun.</p>

<p>Still want chances on scholarship though.</p>

<p>I attended Telluride Associaton Summer Program, and my factota was a student at U-M and she gave my name to the admissions committee for flagging for scholarships. Hope that helps.</p>
