I have a question about alternate major. If I didn’t get accept from my first-choice major, do I automatically shift down to my alternate major? How does alternate major work for UCI? Thank you!
UCI admits into the University first and then into the major. If you do not get into your first choice, then you are considered for your alternate major. Sometimes applicants that do not meet the major thresholds but the university threshold, may be accepted into Undeclared.
